Per Household

You have selected the second required bankruptcy course, which is the Debtor Education offered by Consumer Education Services, Inc. (CESI).* Before you begin, here is some information you need to know:

  • Prior to a Chapter 7 or Chapter 13 bankruptcy case being discharged, completion of this course is required
  • This online course can be taken by an individual or married couple who have already completed their Pre-Bankruptcy Credit Counseling and have filed for bankruptcy

Current bankruptcy law requires you to complete a Debtor Education Course after filing for bankruptcy but before discharge. This timed 2-hour course provides budgeting and financial planning resources to help you after bankruptcy. For this financial management course, you will need your bankruptcy case number, your judicial filing district, and your mother’s maiden name. If you have NOT filed for bankruptcy, you will need to complete the Pre-Bankruptcy Credit Counseling first.
